An Egyptian Rhapsody

Some of the memorable films I’ve watched for the first timethis year. (No particular order)
1- Akira (1988)


A secret military project endangers Neo-Tokyo when it turns a biker gang member into a rampaging psionic psychopath that only two kids and a group of psionics can stop.

Regarded as one of the most influential anime works of all time, Akira is an epic dystopian saga that was marvelous to watch. Has this amazing balance of being basically cartoon, yet featuring lots of violence & cruelty. It’s based on an anime series, so the film feels a bit incomplete if you’re unfamiliar with it.

2- Memories (1995)
